The Bigbelly brand and product was founded in 2003 in Boston, USA, with the goal of transforming one of the least efficient and resource intensive industries: waste management and collection.
The challenges faced by city waste collection departments seemed inevitable, as waste management teams had inefficient collection routes and structures. Fuel and labour costs are difficult to avoid in a time where the pressure to lower carbon emissions have become a real issue.
